September 8, 2026 6:31 AM EDT

Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX) has appointed Sean M. Salmon to its board of directors, effective September 8, 2026, according to a company press release.

Salmon spent more than 20 years at Medtronic plc (NYSE: MDT), most recently serving as Executive Vice President and President of its Cardiovascular Portfolio, a business with fiscal 2025 revenue of approximately $12.5 billion. He previously held leadership roles across Medtronic's Diabetes, Coronary and Structural Heart, and Coronary and Renal Denervation businesses.

Since December 2025, Salmon has operated Zamboni Holdings, LLC, a consulting and advisory firm serving venture, private equity, investment banking and strategy clients. He also serves as an independent director of Adagio Medical Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADGM).

Salmon will serve on Teleflex's Growth and Operating Committee, which was established earlier in 2026 to support the company's strategic transformation, including operational execution and growth initiatives.

With his addition, the Teleflex board now comprises nine directors, eight of whom are independent. The company noted that one third of its board will have been refreshed in 2026 following the appointment.

Andrew A. Krakauer, Chairman of the Teleflex Board, said Salmon's "deep expertise in capital allocation, portfolio strategy and operational execution will complement the existing capabilities of the Board."

Salmon holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Applied Physiology from Boston University.
