Supermicro adds Intel veteran to board as Judy Lin retires

Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) has appointed Shesha Krishnapura as an independent member of its board of directors, effective October 9, 2026, according to a company statement. The appointment coincides with the retirement of board member Judy Lin, who has served on the board since 2022.



Krishnapura spent 35 years at Intel Corporation, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer of Intel IT and as an Intel Fellow from 2016 to 2026. In that role, he was responsible for setting technology vision, architecture, and engineering governance for Intel's global computing environments supporting chip design and development.



During his career at Intel, Krishnapura led the development of 25 disaggregated server designs and transformed the Intel D2 FAB into a LEED Platinum Certified 112+ MW hyperscale data center. He also co-developed and co-taught graduate-level high-performance computing at Stanford University since 2016, holds six granted patents, and has authored nearly 100 publications and technical whitepapers.



Charles Liang, Founder, President and CEO of Supermicro, said Krishnapura "brings decades of operational and technology leadership with firsthand experience designing and operating computing infrastructure at enormous scale."



Krishnapura earned an M.S. in Computer Science from Oregon State University and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in India.
