Streamex Corp. (NASDAQ: STEX) appointed Kevin Gopaul to its board of directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement. Gopaul brings more than 25 years of global asset management and capital markets experience to the digital asset infrastructure company.
Gopaul previously held senior leadership roles at BMO Global Asset Management, including Global Head of ETFs, Chief Investment Officer, and Canadian CEO, where he helped build the firm's $100 billion ETF franchise. He currently serves as Chief Investment Officer and President of REX Financial Canada.
"Kevin's addition to our Board represents a significant milestone for Streamex," said Henry McPhie, Co-Founder and CEO of Streamex. "His leadership in building one of the most successful ETF businesses in North America, combined with his global institutional experience, makes him an exceptional fit for our Board."
Prior to REX Financial Canada, Gopaul spent nearly 15 years at BMO Global Asset Management in various senior positions. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Barclays Global Investors, Sun Life Financial, and Scotia Capital.
Gopaul stated he looks forward to supporting the company's growth as traditional and digital markets converge. As a board director, he will focus on driving growth of GLDY, Streamex's institutional real-world-asset offering, and the company's international expansion initiatives.
Streamex describes itself as a vertically integrated technology company focused on tokenization and digitalization of real-world assets through regulated, yield-bearing financial instruments.
