Standex International Corporation (NYSE: SXI) has appointed Brenna D. Preisser to its board of directors as an independent director, effective January 1, 2027, according to a press release from the company.
Preisser is currently Executive Vice President and President of Brunswick Boat Group at Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), a role she has held since August 2024. In that position, she oversees a $1.4 billion global portfolio of 18 boat brands and 11 manufacturing sites across the United States, Canada, Europe, and New Zealand. She has more than 20 years of experience at Brunswick, previously serving as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer, among other roles.
She will serve on the Standex board's Compensation Committee and Innovation & Technology Committee.
Preisser will succeed B. Joanne Edwards, who is retiring from the board after eight years of service, also effective January 1, 2027. Edwards has served as Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Innovation & Technology Committee. Her appointment followed a succession planning process led by the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Following the transition, the Standex board will continue to consist of eight directors, seven of whom are independent.
Standex Chairman, President and CEO David Dunbar said Preisser's "experience running a global manufacturing business and building new growth platforms, together with her deep background in talent development and executive compensation, will be valuable to our Board."
Preisser holds a B.B.A. from Ohio University and an M.B.A. from Ashland University.
Standex is a multi-industry manufacturer operating in four business segments: Electronics, Aerospace and Defense, Scientific, and Engraving & Hydraulics, with operations across the United States, Europe, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Turkey, India, and China.
