Solmate appoints Erez Simha as independent director and audit chair
Solmate Infrastructure (NASDAQ: SLMT) announced that Erez Simha will join the company's board of directors as an independent director and chair of the audit committee, effective December 31, 2025.
Simha replaces Alberto Libanori, who will remain as Solmate's head of operations. The appointment was disclosed in a company statement.
Simha brings more than 20 years of experience in technology companies across food-tech, blockchain, 3D printing, and digital assets sectors. He currently serves as a senior financial advisor to a payment processing company and audit committee chair of Fold Holdings, Inc., a bitcoin financial services company.
The new board member previously served as chief financial officer for Genius Group and held executive positions at blockchain and technology companies including Apifiny and Kangaroo. Simha is a certified public accountant and holds bachelor's degrees in economics and accounting, plus master's degrees in business administration and finance from Tel Aviv University.
"His deep expertise in scaling technology companies and navigating sophisticated financial structures will be crucial to our growth as we establish the UAE as the premier hub for institutional blockchain infrastructure," said Marco Santori, Solmate CEO.
Solmate, formerly Brera Holdings PLC, operates as a Solana infrastructure company focused on staking, validation, and treasury infrastructure with operations centered in Abu Dhabi. The company is backed by ARK Invest, RockawayX, Pulsar Group, and UAE investors.
