Shoulder Innovations appoints Drew Hykes to board of directors

Shoulder Innovations Inc. (NYSE: SI) announced the appointment of Drew Hykes to its board of directors and as a member of the compensation committee, effective February 26. The medical technology company also said Geoff Pardo will resign as an independent director.



Hykes serves as president and chief executive officer of Okami Medical, a medical technology company focused on vascular embolization solutions. He previously held the role of chief executive officer at Inari Medical from 2023 until the company's acquisition by Stryker Corporation in 2025. During his nearly eight years at Inari Medical, he also served as chief operating officer and chief commercial officer.



Prior to Inari Medical, Hykes was vice president of commercial operations at Sequent Medical, where he led commercialization strategy for the WEB Aneurysm Embolization system before Sequent's acquisition by Terumo Corporation. He spent 11 years at Medtronic in various roles including vice president of clinical and regulatory affairs, vice president of marketing, and director of investor relations.



"Drew is a proven healthcare leader, and we are thrilled to welcome him to Shoulder Innovations as a member of our Board of Directors," said Rob Ball, CEO and executive chairman of Shoulder Innovations, according to a company statement.



Pardo commented on his departure, stating it had been "a privilege serving on the Board of Shoulder Innovations and supporting the company's mission to advance shoulder surgical care."



Shoulder Innovations focuses on shoulder surgical care technology, offering implant systems for shoulder arthroplasty procedures. The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based company went public and trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
