Sera Prognostics adds ex-Myriad Genetics CEO to its board

Sera Prognostics Inc. (Nasdaq: SERA) announced that Mark Capone will join its Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2026.

Capone most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Myriad Genetics, where he led the company's shift toward precision medicine and expanded its molecular diagnostics portfolio. Before becoming CEO, he held the roles of President and Chief Operating Officer during his 17-year tenure at Myriad Genetics. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Eli Lilly.

"Sera is addressing a significant unmet need in maternal and fetal health, and I believe the company's proteomics-based approach has the potential to meaningfully improve outcomes," Capone said.

Zhenya Lindgardt, President and CEO of Sera Prognostics, said Capone's experience in commercializing diagnostic products and navigating reimbursement environments would support the company's efforts to expand adoption of its PreTRM test.

Sera Prognostics is a Salt Lake City, Utah-based diagnostics company focused on pregnancy care, including early prediction of preterm birth risk.
