SecureTech Innovations nominates Robert Williams to board
SecureTech Innovations Inc. (OTCQB: SCTH) announced it has nominated Robert J. Williams, CPA, to serve as an independent director and member of the company's audit, nomination, and compensation committees.
Williams is the third and final independent director nominee announced by the technology holding company. His nomination, along with previously announced nominees Brian Zucker, CPA, and Robert V. Castro, CPA, CGMA, is intended to help SecureTech meet independent director requirements for companies seeking to list on the NASDAQ Capital Market.
The appointment will become effective upon formal seating of directors following the company's approval to list shares on NASDAQ, subject to satisfaction of listing requirements and regulatory approvals.
Williams brings over four decades of experience in tax strategy, forensic accounting, and transactional advisory services. He spent 20 years at Ernst & Young, retiring as Partner-in-Charge of the Real Estate Tax Practice in the firm's San Diego office, where he led 36 professionals.
At Ernst & Young, Williams developed expertise in Internal Revenue Code Section 263A and provided guidance to the U.S. Treasury Department on regulatory provisions later incorporated into federal tax regulations. He authored a 1993 article in the Real Estate Tax Digest on IRC Section 263A that became a standard field reference.
Williams also served on a forensic accounting team that investigated a large savings and loan institution in the 1980s, with findings cited in Congressional testimony. The U.S. Department of Justice engaged him three times to assist in preparing the federal government for criminal trials involving financial institution fraud.
Since 2001, Williams has served as sole shareholder and principal of SXM Consulting Inc., providing tax, business, and transactional advisory services to private companies. He also co-founded Sporting Fraternity Hospitality Group, which operates hospitality concepts.
Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, and is a certified public accountant licensed in California and Florida.
