SciSparc adds Technion AI professor to advisory board

SciSparc Ltd. (NASDAQ: SPRC) announced the addition of Prof. Carmel Domshlak, a professor at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, to its Scientific Advisory Board for AI and Cybersecurity, effective September 1, 2026.

The appointment follows a July 27, 2026, announcement in which SciSparc's board of directors decided to target the Agentic AI market and establish the advisory board. The company stated it is evaluating opportunities in the Agentic AI field and is in discussions with several companies active in the market.

Prof. Domshlak joined the Technion faculty in 2003 and served as Dean of the Faculty from 2017 to 2021. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University in 2002 and served as a Research Associate at Cornell University from 2002 to 2004. His research covers automated reasoning, sequential decision-making, action planning, multi-agent system design, and probabilistic inference.

Prof. Domshlak has received four ICAPS Influential Paper Awards, in 2019, 2020, 2023, and 2026. The 2026 award recognized a 2013 paper co-authored with Michael Katz and Jörg Hoffmann introducing the red-black planning technique. The 2023 award recognized a 2008 paper co-authored with Katz on heuristic search in optimal planning. He also served on the ICAPS Executive Council from 2011 to 2017.

SciSparc, through its subsidiary NeuroThera, is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on cannabinoid-based drug development programs, including treatments for Tourette syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, and status epilepticus.
