Saia adds Todd Fowler to its board of directors

Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIA) has appointed Todd C. Fowler to its board of directors, effective immediately, according to a press release. Fowler will also serve on the board's Audit Committee.

Fowler currently serves as Director of Strategic Partners at Autotech Ventures, an early-stage venture firm focused on mobility and logistics. In that role, he manages relationships with multinational corporate limited partners and advises boards and executives on technology-related strategic initiatives.

Before joining Autotech Ventures, Fowler was a Managing Director at KeyBanc Capital Markets, where he led the firm's transportation and logistics equity research practice. Earlier in his career, he worked in equity research at FTN Midwest Securities, covering aerospace, defense, and transportation sectors. He began his career in the audit practices of Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young, focused on automotive and manufacturing companies.

Saia Chairman Rick O'Dell commented on the appointment: "His expertise across capital markets, supply-chain and domestic trucking will be a valuable addition to the Board as we advance our national strategy to drive profitable growth and long-term stockholder value."

Saia is a less-than-truckload freight and logistics provider headquartered in Johns Creek, Georgia, operating 219 terminals nationwide.
