S&T Bancorp names CEO McComish as board chairman

S&T Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: STBA) announced that Christine J. Toretti will resign as chairman of the board on September 28 following her appointment as ambassador to Sweden by the United States Senate. Toretti has served as chairman since 2018 and as a director since 1984.
The board approved combining the chief executive officer and chairman roles, appointing current CEO Christopher J. McComish as chairman effective September 28. McComish has served as CEO and director since August 2021.
The company also appointed Jeffrey D. Grube as lead independent director. Grube has been a board director since 1997 and currently chairs the credit risk committee while serving on the audit, compensation and benefits, executive, and risk committees.
The lead independent director will serve as liaison between the CEO and independent directors, supervise board operations and governance, and ensure the board fulfills its oversight responsibilities.

S&T Bancorp is a $9.8 billion bank holding company headquartered in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Its principal subsidiary, S&T Bank, was established in 1902 and operates in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
