Robo.ai Inc. (NASDAQ: AIIO) has appointed Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, former president of Interpol, as chairman of its proposed Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary, Alif Holding, according to a press release issued July 30, 2026.

Al-Raisi served as Interpol president from 2021 to 2025 and currently serves as chairman of Neurovia AI, another Robo.ai subsidiary. He brings more than four decades of experience in public-sector digital transformation and digital security governance, including work in national-level data compliance and cross-border digital risk management.

In his new role, Al-Raisi will chair Alif Holding's board of directors, with responsibilities covering corporate governance, security oversight, and compliance. He will also provide guidance on long-term strategy and risk standards.

Alif Holding is described as an intelligent industrial technology group structured around two platforms — intelligent software and intelligent equipment. The group develops, integrates, and manufactures AI systems in the UAE, targeting government and public-sector customers in sectors including energy, oil and gas, ports, public safety, utilities, and smart cities.

"Artificial intelligence is becoming part of every nation's critical infrastructure, and it must be built to the standards that governments and critical infrastructure operators require," Al-Raisi said in the statement.

The company says Alif Holding's operations are aligned with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, with a focus on UAE-based manufacturing and deployment across the Gulf Cooperation Council region and international markets.
