Regency Silver appoints two new directors to board

Regency Silver Corp. (TSXV: RSMX) (OTCQB: RSMXF) (FSE: ZJ90) announced the appointment of two new directors to its board, effective immediately.

Raj Chowdry and Frank Cordova have joined the board while Michael G. Thomson and Patrick Elliott have departed from their director positions.

Chowdry was a founding director of America Mineral Fields Inc., which became Adastra Minerals Inc. before First Quantum Minerals Ltd. acquired it in 2006. He served as founding director, chairman and CEO of several companies including International Thunderbird Gaming Inc., Axion Communications Inc., and Sandfire Resources America Inc. Chowdry holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He will chair the audit committee.

Cordova worked in the Mexican government for over 22 years, serving as Secretary of Security and Secretary of Tourism for the State of Sinaloa. He has been a director of several companies including Timmins Gold Corp., a Mexican gold producer. Cordova received his doctorate in law from Arizona State University in 1992.

Regency Silver is a Canadian resource company exploring for gold, copper, and silver in Mexico. The company's flagship project is the Dios Padre project in Sonora, Mexico.
