Rani Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: RANI) has appointed Michelle Gilson to its Board of Directors, where she will serve as Chair of the Audit Committee, according to a company statement.
Gilson most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Arcellx, Inc., which was acquired by Gilead Sciences in 2026. During her time at Arcellx, she was involved in the company's financial strategy as it progressed from Phase 1 trials through a Biologic License Application submission. She also played a role in Arcellx's collaboration with Kite, a Gilead company, and the subsequent acquisition by Gilead.
Before joining Arcellx, Gilson worked as a biotechnology equity research analyst at several investment banks, including Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, Nomura, Oppenheimer & Co., and Canaccord Genuity. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
"The combination of deep capital markets expertise and hands-on financial leadership at a high-growth biotechnology company makes Michelle an exceptional addition to our Board," said Talat Imran, Chief Executive Officer of Rani Therapeutics.
Rani Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotherapeutics company developing the RaniPill® Capsule, a platform technology intended to deliver biologics orally rather than through subcutaneous injection or intravenous infusion.
