RZOLV Technologies adds mining veteran John McConnell to its board

RZOLV Technologies Inc. (TSXV: RZL, OTCQB: RZOLF, FSE: S711) appointed John C. McConnell to its board of directors, effective July 14, 2026, according to a company statement.



McConnell brings more than 40 years of mining industry experience, including roles in mine development, operations, project financing, and corporate governance. He most recently served as president, chief executive officer, and director of Victoria Gold Corp., where he led the development of the Eagle Gold Mine in Canada's Yukon Territory. The mine produced approximately 180,000 ounces of gold annually. He has also held senior positions at Western Keltic Mines Inc., De Beers Canada Inc., Winspear Diamonds Inc., Breakwater Resources Ltd., and Strathcona Mineral Services Ltd.



McConnell currently serves as CEO of 44984 Capital, a private investment company focused on the global mining sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.



In connection with his appointment, RZOLV granted McConnell 250,000 incentive stock options. The company also approved an additional 767,117 incentive stock options to certain directors, officers, employees, and consultants. All options are exercisable at $0.35 per common share for five years, expiring July 14, 2031, and vest immediately under the company's Omnibus Incentive Plan.



The company also amended the termination clause in the employment agreement of Reza Kafaei, chief innovation officer. Under the revised terms, termination without just cause would entitle Kafaei to two times his annual compensation plus two times the average annual bonus paid over the last three full years of employment, with all incentive securities vesting immediately.



RZOLV is developing a non-cyanide hydrometallurgical platform for recovering gold, silver, and selected critical minerals.
