QIMC adds Enbridge Gaz Quebec president to board of directors
Québec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE: QIMC) (OTCQB: QIMCF) (FSE: 7FJ) appointed Jean-Benoît Trahan, President of Enbridge Gaz Québec, to its Board of Directors effective June 11, 2026.
Trahan has served as president of Enbridge Gaz Québec, a Quebec natural gas distributor, for nearly twelve years. He previously held roles with the Régie de l'énergie and Gaz Métro, focusing on energy regulation, tariff design and utility economics.
Over the past seven years, Trahan led decarbonization initiatives for Quebec's gas distribution network, including renewable natural gas deployment, a residual hydrogen distribution project, and development of a district energy network serving portions of Gatineau.
The appointment comes as QIMC advances from natural hydrogen exploration toward project development and infrastructure planning across its portfolio in Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and the United States.
"We are delighted to welcome Jean-Benoît to QIMC's Board of Directors at this important stage in the Company's growth," said John Karagiannidis, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of QIMC. "His leadership at the forefront of Quebec's evolving energy landscape will provide valuable strategic insight as we continue to develop our natural hydrogen portfolio."
Trahan stated that QIMC "has established itself as an innovator in the emerging natural clean hydrogen sector through its scientific approach, technical capabilities and growing portfolio of advanced projects."
QIMC is a North American exploration and development company advancing natural hydrogen and critical mineral projects across Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Minnesota through its proprietary R2G2 framework.
