ProLogium, a Taiwan-based lithium ceramic battery manufacturer, has appointed Antony Sheriff, CEO of Rimac Group, to its board of directors, according to a press release. The appointment takes effect upon the closing of the company's previously announced business combination agreement with Translational Development Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: TDAC).
Sheriff brings nearly four decades of experience in the automotive and advanced manufacturing industries. He previously served as CEO of McLaren Automotive, where he oversaw the development of models including the MP4-12C and McLaren P1. He later led Princess Yachts and has held board positions at Rivian Automotive, Aston Martin Lagonda, and Pininfarina. Since 2024, he has served as CEO of Rimac Group, the majority shareholder of Bugatti Rimac and sole owner of Rimac Technology, which develops electric vehicle battery and powertrain systems for global automakers.
"What makes Antony's experience particularly valuable is not only his deep understanding of the global automotive industry, but also his firsthand experience in building and scaling an automotive business," said Vincent Yang, Founder and CEO of ProLogium.
Sheriff said he views ProLogium's manufacturing track record as a differentiator among solid-state battery developers. "After more than a decade of accumulating experience, ProLogium is ready to deliver today, thanks to its continued efforts to iteratively improve its technology and manufacturing capabilities," he said.
ProLogium operates the Taoke Gigafactory in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and broke ground on its first European facility in Dunkirk, France, in February 2026. The Dunkirk site is designed for up to 44.0 GWh of maximum capacity, with the first phase targeting 4.0 GWh of annual production expected to be progressively reached by 2030.
In May 2026, ProLogium entered into a definitive business combination agreement with TDAC and has filed a registration statement on Form F-4 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Subject to completion of the transaction and satisfaction of listing conditions, ProLogium expects to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol PRLG.
