Potomac Bancshares appoints Chris Hensell to board of directors
Potomac Bancshares Inc. (OTCID: PTBS) announced the appointment of C.W. Chris "Chip" Hensell III to its board of directors, effective August 19, 2025. Hensell will also serve on the board of directors of the company's subsidiary Bank of Charles Town.
Hensell is the owner and broker of Hensell Realty Company Inc., a residential and commercial real estate brokerage company established in 1955. He became full owner of the multi-generational business in 2001. He also owns Hensell Prime LLC, a real estate referral brokerage, and C&H Enterprises, a real estate rental company. Hensell serves on the board of directors for Farmers and Mechanics Mutual Insurance.
The appointee currently serves as an active board member of WVU East Hospital and the Berkeley County Parks and Recreation Board of Directors. Hensell studied business management at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and resides in Berkeley County, West Virginia.

Potomac Bancshares is the holding company of BCT-Bank of Charles Town, also known as The Community's Bank. Founded in 1871, the company reported approximately $920 million in assets as of June 30, 2025. The bank operates through its main office, eight additional branch offices, and two loan production offices located in West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia.
