Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) has established the Philips Sonicare Global Clinical Advisory Board, a group of 12 external dental experts tasked with providing clinical, scientific and strategic guidance for its oral healthcare division, according to a company statement.

The board draws members from institutions across the United States, United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, China, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and the Netherlands. Areas of expertise represented include periodontics, digital dentistry, the oral microbiome, behavior change, minimally invasive dentistry and evidence-based oral care.

Philips said the board is intended as a long-term collaboration, with members contributing to product development guidance and helping to embed dental professional perspectives into the company's oral healthcare product roadmap.

"The Philips Sonicare Global Clinical Advisory Board helps us build on that legacy and continue developing evidence-led innovations that meet the needs of professionals and the people they care for," said Francesco Grillo, Philips Global Business Unit Leader for Oral Healthcare.

Andrew Bower, Business Category Leader for Dental Professional and Strategic Adjacencies at Philips Oral Healthcare, said the board would help the company "anticipate where the profession is moving, and translate expert insight into stronger innovations and ultimately better outcomes for consumers and patients."

Philips, headquartered in the Netherlands, reported approximately €18 billion in sales in 2025 and employs around 63,700 people across more than 100 countries.
