Pebblebrook Hotel Trust adds Bill Bayless to its board

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB) announced that Bill Bayless joined its Board of Trustees effective October 1, 2026, bringing the board's total membership to eight, with seven independent trustees.

Bayless currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Maslow Campus Communities. He co-founded American Campus Communities (formerly NYSE: ACC), a real estate investment trust, and led its development into what the company describes as the first publicly traded student housing company. In 2022, he helped lead the sale of American Campus Communities to Blackstone in a transaction valued at approximately $13 billion.

Over a career spanning more than 35 years, Bayless has been involved in nearly $30 billion in real estate transactions. He has held leadership roles at Nareit's Board of Governors and on the Executive Committee of the National Multifamily Housing Council. He was named Ernst & Young's 2017 National Entrepreneur of the Year in the Construction & Hospitality category.

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust owns 43 hotels totaling approximately 10,900 guest rooms across 14 urban and resort markets in the United States.
