Palisade Bio adds two industry veterans to board of directors

Palisade Bio Inc. (NASDAQ: PALI) announced the appointment of Robert Baltera and Jordan Zwick to its board of directors. The clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company develops oral PDE4 inhibitor prodrugs for inflammatory bowel diseases.
Baltera brings over 30 years of biopharmaceutical experience, having served as CEO of Cirius Therapeutics and Amira Pharmaceuticals. During his tenure at Amira, the company was sold to Bristol-Myers Squibb for $475 million in 2011. He previously held senior management positions at Amgen for 17 years and currently serves as a senior advisor at Frazier Life Sciences.
Zwick co-founded Mirador Therapeutics and serves as its chief business officer. He advised Prometheus Biosciences prior to its acquisition by Merck in 2023 and CrossBridge Bio through its acquisition by Eli Lilly in 2026. He previously held executive roles at Amarin Corporation and InflaRx N.V.
The company's lead program, PALI-2108, is a once-daily oral PDE4 inhibitor prodrug designed for targeted delivery to the ileum and colon. The drug candidate has completed Phase 1a and two Phase 1b clinical trials, including studies in ulcerative colitis and fibrostenotic Crohn's disease.
Palisade Bio is advancing toward Phase 2 clinical studies in ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. The appointments add biotechnology leadership and strategic transaction expertise to the company's board as it progresses through clinical development stages.
