Oruka Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: ORKA) appointed Chris Martin to its board of directors and announced the resignation of Cameron Turtle from the board, effective December 11, 2025.
Martin brings more than 25 years of commercial experience across sales, marketing, market access, commercial operations and business development. He most recently served as chief commercial officer of Verona Pharma, which Merck acquired in October 2025 for approximately $10 billion. At Verona, Martin built the commercial organization and launch strategy for Ohtuvayre, a maintenance treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Prior to Verona, Martin held commercial roles at SK Life Science, Melinta Therapeutics and Salix Pharmaceuticals, where he led product launches and contributed to corporate acquisitions. He holds a bachelor's degree in financial management from Clemson University.
"Chris's expertise can bring tremendous value to the company as we advance towards late-stage development and think more concretely about how ORKA-001 and -002 could enter the market," said Lawrence Klein, chief executive officer of Oruka Therapeutics.
Klein thanked Turtle for his contributions in helping shape the company's strategy and direction during its early development stages.
Oruka Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing biologics for chronic skin diseases including plaque psoriasis. The company is advancing antibodies that target mechanisms underlying plaque psoriasis and other dermatologic and inflammatory diseases.
