Orogen Royalties appoints Chad Wells to board of directors

Orogen Royalties Inc. (TSXV:OGN)(OTCQB: OGNNF) announced the appointment of Chad Wells to its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Wells brings over 25 years of experience in the natural resources sector as an executive and geologist. He most recently served as Vice President of Altius Minerals Corporation, where he contributed to the company's growth from an early-stage exploration company to a diversified mineral royalty company with approximately $3 billion in market capitalization.
During his tenure at Altius, Wells participated in developing the company's project generation platform and was involved in structuring exploration agreements and creating royalty portfolios. His background includes acquisition and origination of projects and royalties, as well as co-founding several publicly listed exploration companies.
"Chad has had a successful career in creating value for shareholders in the project generation and royalty space and he will bring a unique and complementary perspective to Orogen's board," said Orogen CEO Paddy Nicol.
Wells commented on his appointment: "I'm very pleased to be joining the Board of Directors of Orogen Royalties. Orogen's disciplined approach to project generation and organic royalty creation strongly aligns with the philosophy I've worked within throughout my career."
As part of his compensation package, the board approved granting Wells 55,000 incentive stock options at $3.34 per share for a five-year period, subject to regulatory acceptance.
Orogen Royalties focuses on organic royalty creation and royalty acquisitions on precious and base metal discoveries in western North America. The company's portfolio includes a 2.0% net smelter return royalty on the ErmitaƱo gold and silver mine in Sonora, Mexico, operated by First Majestic Silver Corp.
