Okta adds Schellhase and Wilderotter to board of directors

Okta Inc. (NASDAQ: OKTA) appointed David Schellhase and Mary Agnes Wilderotter to its board of directors, effective August 13, 2025, according to a company statement.
Schellhase currently serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Ballistic Ventures, a cybersecurity-focused venture capital firm, since July 2025. He previously worked as Of Counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from November 2022 to January 2025. His corporate experience includes general counsel positions at Slack Technologies from December 2016 to August 2021, Groupon from June 2011 to January 2014, and Salesforce from July 2002 to May 2011. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at Honest Work Corporation from February 2015 until its acquisition by Twitter in April 2016.
Wilderotter brings extensive board experience, having served on 50 corporate boards throughout her career. She was Chief Executive Officer and Chair of Grand Reserve Inn from December 2016 to June 2023 and served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of DocuSign from June through October 2022. Her previous executive roles include Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Frontier Communications from January 2006 to April 2015. She currently serves on the boards of Sana Biotechnology, DocuSign, and Costco Wholesale Corp.

The identity management software company made the announcement as part of its board expansion strategy.
