ONE Gas appoints retired PG&E and National Grid COO to board

ONE Gas, Inc. (NYSE: OGS) has appointed Nickolas Stavropoulos to its board of directors, effective July 13, 2026, expanding the board from eight to nine members, according to a company statement.
Stavropoulos, 68, previously served as chief operating officer at Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and National Grid, and as chief financial officer of Colonial Gas Company. He has more than 40 years of experience in the energy industry.
During his tenure at PG&E, Stavropoulos led a multi-billion dollar recovery and restoration effort to enhance the company's natural gas system. His background spans safety, utility operations, regulatory affairs, strategic planning, finance, and business development.
Deborah A.P. Hersman, chair of the ONE Gas board, said in the statement: "His operational and safety expertise and proven leadership capabilities will greatly benefit our board, shareholders and other stakeholders."
Stavropoulos holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bentley University and an MBA from Babson College, and has completed executive education certificates from Harvard and MIT. He currently serves on the board of directors of Ameresco.
ONE Gas is a regulated natural gas utility headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, serving more than 2.3 million customers in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
