May 1, 2026 7:00 AM EDT

OIO Group (NASDAQ: OIO) announced the appointment of its board of directors and executive leadership team following completion of its business combination with De Tomaso Automobili Holdings Limited. The company filed details about the new appointments with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 1, 2026.

Norman Choi was named chairman and chief executive officer of the combined entity. De Tomaso principals collectively hold approximately 95.8% of OIO Group's ordinary shares, with Choi holding about 67.6%. These shareholders are subject to lock-up agreements ranging from six to 12 months from closing.

The company outlined plans to develop into what it calls an ultra-luxury mobility platform anchored by the De Tomaso brand. The strategy focuses on low-volume, high-value programs targeting collectors seeking rare vehicles.

"Our experience in creating and reviving specialist automotive marques has shown us that the world's most discerning collectors are not looking for volume - they are looking for rarity, authenticity, craftsmanship and mechanical emotion," Choi said in a statement.

OIO Group said it intends to evaluate opportunities across the ultra-luxury automotive ecosystem, including potential acquisitions, partnerships and investments in legacy suppliers and niche manufacturers. The company also plans to explore adjacent segments such as restomodification and heritage engineering.

Near-term priorities include establishing De Tomaso as the anchor platform and progressing customer programs toward initial vehicle deliveries. The company aims to develop a framework for evaluating strategic acquisitions and specialist capabilities.

The company operates through De Tomaso Automobili and Environmental Solutions (Asia) Pte. Ltd. OIO Group was formerly known as ESGL Holdings Limited before the business combination.
