Nuvectis Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVCT) announced the appointment of Juan Sanchez, MD, to its Board of Directors. The clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focuses on developing precision medicines for oncology treatments.

Sanchez previously served as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Intra-Cellular Therapies, which Johnson & Johnson acquired in April 2025 for $14.6 billion. He brings over 30 years of experience spanning patient care, Wall Street research analysis, and biopharmaceutical executive roles.

The appointment comes as Nuvectis enters its Phase 1b program for NXP900, its lead drug candidate. NXP900 is an oral small molecule inhibitor targeting the SRC Family of Kinases for treating advanced and treatment-resistant cancers.

"We are excited to welcome Dr. Juan Sanchez to the Nuvectis Board of Directors," said Ron Bentsur, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nuvectis. "As we enter the next stage of growth, with the start of the Phase 1b program for NXP900, we believe Juan brings a wealth of industry and strategic expertise and experience that will bring significant value to Nuvectis."

Sanchez joined Intra-Cellular Therapies in 2014 and oversaw the clinical development and commercialization of CAPLYTA through the company's acquisition. Before his corporate role, he worked as a managing director of healthcare equity research at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. and Punk, Ziegel & Co.

Sanchez holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogota, Colombia, an MBA from the University of Los Andes in Colombia, and a Master's degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. He practiced medicine for five years in Colombia.
