Northisle adds director and advisors, issues stock options

Northisle Copper and Gold Inc. (TSX-V: NCX, OTCQX: NTCPF) has appointed Gerardo Fernandez to its board of directors and named Dr. Gillian Davidson and Maurice Tagami as strategic advisors, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based mining company.



Fernandez currently serves as Chief Development Officer of Allied Gold Corporation and holds a board seat at Silver Mountain Resources Inc. He previously held senior roles at Yamana Gold, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He holds degrees in Civil Mining Engineering and a master's in business administration.



Dr. Davidson brings more than 25 years of experience in sustainability and ESG. She served as Head of Mining and Metals for the World Economic Forum from 2014 to 2017 and as Director of Social Responsibility at Teck Resources from 2008 to 2014. She currently chairs the Global Battery Alliance and serves on the board of Lundin Gold Inc.



Tagami has over 40 years of experience in mining and mineral processing. He holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and currently serves on the board of Freegold Limited.



Northisle also disclosed that its board approved the issuance of 212,300 stock options at an exercise price of $4.28 per share, equal to the closing price of the company's common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange on August 24, 2026. The options carry a five-year term, with 30,000 vesting 50% on grant and 50% on the one-year anniversary, while the remaining options vest one-third per year beginning August 24, 2027.



The board additionally approved the issuance of 26,700 Deferred Share Units to eligible directors, vesting on August 24, 2027.
