NexMetals Mining Corp. (NASDAQ: NEXM) announced Keith Marshall will stand for election to its board of directors at the annual general meeting scheduled for May 27, 2026.

Marshall brings over 45 years of mining sector experience, including 25 years in senior leadership positions. He spent 22 years with Rio Tinto, serving as Managing Director of Palabora Mining Company in South Africa and President of the Oyu Tolgoi Project in Mongolia. Marshall holds a mining engineering degree from the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College London.

The board intends to appoint Marshall to its Safety, Sustainability and Technical Committee following the meeting. The committee will be co-chaired by Warwick Morley-Jepson and Philipa Varris.

Two current directors, Chris Leavy and James Gowans, will not seek re-election at the meeting. Seven existing board members will stand for re-election: Paul Martin, Mark Christensen, Jason LeBlanc, Warwick Morley-Jepson, André van Niekerk, Philipa Varris and Sean Whiteford.

"Keith will bring significant operational and technical experience to the Company at a time when the Selebi and Selkirk projects are advancing from primarily an exploration focus to the pre-development studies stage," said Paul Martin, board chairman.

The company also granted 44,800 stock options to Nisha Hasan, principal of NH IR Advisory Corp., in connection with investor relations services. The options are exercisable at $3.30 per share for five years, with quarterly vesting over 12 months.

NexMetals focuses on redeveloping copper-nickel-cobalt-platinum group element mines in Botswana. The information is based on a company press release.
