Bruce C. Gottwald retired from the board of directors of NewMarket Corporation (NYSE: NEU) effective December 9, 2025, according to a company statement.
Gottwald notified the board of his retirement decision on December 9. The company stated that his retirement was not due to any disagreement with NewMarket on matters relating to operations, policies or practices.
NewMarket said it was grateful to Gottwald for his years of service to the company. The statement did not specify the length of Gottwald's tenure on the board or details about a replacement director.
