New Germany Fund elects two directors at annual meeting
The New Germany Fund, Inc. (NYSE: GF) announced the results of its annual stockholder meeting, which was initially called to order on June 30, 2025, adjourned, and reconvened on July 18, 2025.
Stockholders elected two Class I Directors nominated by the Board of Directors. Ms. Fiona Flannery and Dr. Holger Hatje were elected to serve three-year terms until their respective successors are elected and qualified.
The Fund previously announced that stockholders ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as the independent auditors for the Fund's 2025 fiscal year during the meeting portion held on June 30, 2025.
The Fund focuses its investments primarily in Germany and trades as a closed-end fund on the New York Stock Exchange. According to the press release, the Fund's concentration in a particular geographical region makes it more volatile than funds that invest more broadly.
