Nelnet adds two members to its board of directors

Nelnet, Inc. (NYSE: NNI) has appointed Angie Klein and Ed Pallesen to its board of directors, expanding the board to 10 members, according to a company statement.
Klein currently serves as head of U.S. consumer channels at Apple, overseeing sales and distribution partnerships with retailers including Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Costco. She previously held roles at Verizon for nearly 25 years, including chief content officer, senior vice president of growth marketing, and inaugural president of Verizon Value. Klein holds marketing and advertising degrees from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She will serve on the Nominating and Corporate Governance, People Development and Compensation, and Compliance committees.
Pallesen has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, including roles at Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Since 2019, he has served as managing director and global head of infrastructure at H.I.G. Capital. His investment focus includes digital infrastructure and renewable energy. Pallesen holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard College, an M.Phil. and D.Phil. from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a law degree from Harvard Law School. He will serve on the Nominating and Corporate Governance and Risk and Finance committees.
Mike Dunlap, executive chairman of Nelnet, said both appointees "bring distinct experiences that will broaden and strengthen the perspectives represented in our boardroom."
Nelnet is headquartered in Lincoln, Neb., and operates businesses in consumer lending, loan servicing, payments, and technology.
