NHI appoints Lilly Donohue to board of directors

National Health Investors Inc. (NYSE: NHI) appointed Lilly H. Donohue to its board of directors effective February 17, 2026, according to a company statement. The appointment follows a search conducted by a third-party executive and board recruitment firm.
Donohue currently serves as president and CEO of Everstory Partners, formerly StoneMor Inc. She joined the company in November 2022 after serving as CEO of Holiday Retirement, which operated over 300 senior living communities across 46 states.
Her previous experience includes establishing Fortress Investment Group's China investment office and serving as president of Fortress Investment Group China. In that role, she built Starcastle (Xingbao) Senior Living in Shanghai, China, and served as CEO from the company's inception in 2013.
Before moving to China in 2011, Donohue was a managing director and member of the management committee at Fortress Investment Group from its founding in May 1998. Earlier in her career, she worked at BlackRock Financial Management Inc. from May 1992 to May 1997, focusing on raising capital, investing and managing BlackRock Asset Investors, a private equity fund.
Donohue serves on the board of directors of Sonida Senior Living and sits on its audit committee. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University Questrom School of Business.
NHI President and CEO Eric Mendelsohn said the company expects Donohue's contributions to add value, citing her background in senior housing operations.
National Health Investors, established in 1991, is a real estate investment trust that specializes in financing senior housing and medical facilities. The company operates through two segments: Real Estate Investments and Senior Housing Operating Portfolio.
