MitoCareX adds Bar-Ilan chemistry professor to its advisory board
Nexentis Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: NXTS) announced that Prof. Dan T. Major has joined the Scientific Advisory Board of its wholly owned subsidiary, MitoCareX Bio Ltd., according to a press release issued Sept. 24, 2026.
Prof. Major is a professor of chemistry at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, where his research covers computational chemistry, computational biochemistry, in silico drug development, enzyme design, molecular simulations, and cheminformatics. In his advisory role, he will provide guidance on the evaluation and application of computational chemistry and in silico approaches relevant to drug discovery.
MitoCareX said the appointment supports its efforts to expand internal computational capabilities intended to inform the prioritization of discovery programs. The company has previously initiated a drug-discovery collaboration with Boltz, an AI research lab focused on biomolecular foundation models and drug discovery workflows.
"We believe that his experience in in silico modeling and drug discovery is highly relevant as we expand the internal scientific capabilities supporting our discovery programs," said Dr. Alon Silberman, Chief Executive Officer of MitoCareX.
Nexentis, based in Ness Ziona, Israel, operates MitoCareX as a drug-discovery subsidiary alongside a separate investment strategy focused on European solar energy assets using a Ready to Build business model. The company is currently the lead investor in four solar projects across three European Union countries.
