Micron directors Beyer and McCarthy to retire at January meeting

Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: MU) announced that board directors Richard M. Beyer and Mary Pat McCarthy will retire at the company's annual shareholders meeting scheduled for Jan. 15, 2026.
Beyer joined Micron's board in 2013 and served as chair of the Governance and Sustainability Committee from 2018 to 2021. He has chaired the Compensation Committee since 2021. His background includes CEO roles at semiconductor companies Elantec Semiconductor, Intersil Corporation and Freescale Semiconductor Inc.
McCarthy has served on the board since 2018, chairing the Finance Committee from 2019 to 2023 and the Audit Committee since 2023. She previously held leadership positions at KPMG.
Following their departure, Micron's board will consist of eight directors. The company has nominated its remaining current directors for reelection at the January meeting, including Lynn Dugle, Steven J. Gomo, Linnie M. Haynesworth, T. Mark Liu, Sanjay Mehrotra, A. Christine Simons, Robert H. Swan and MaryAnn Wright.
"Since joining the board, Rich and Mary Pat have been instrumental advisors providing invaluable guidance and strategic insight that helped shape our growth and success," said Micron Chairman, President and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra.
Beyer stated it had been "a privilege to serve on Micron's board during such a dynamic period for the company and the memory industry." McCarthy said serving on the board "has been an honor" and expressed confidence that Micron is positioned for continued leadership.
