Matachewan adds two independent directors, one resigns
Matachewan Consolidated Mines, Limited (TSXV: MCM-A) appointed Fraser Hartley and Dennis Beker as independent directors, effective July 31, 2026, according to a company statement.
Hartley is a Vancouver-based corporate finance lawyer and partner at Nexa Legal LLP. He holds an LLB and BA from the University of British Columbia and has previously served on the boards of several TSX Venture Exchange-listed companies.
Beker is a Toronto-based corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions lawyer and partner at Founders LLP. He holds a BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a JD from Western University. He has also served on the boards of several TSXV-listed issuers.
To accommodate the two appointments, Ed Dumond resigned as a director after 34 years with the company.
The company's board and management now consists of Zachary Goldenberg as CEO and director, Carlo Rigillo as CFO, corporate secretary, and director, along with Hartley and Beker as directors. The audit committee has been reconstituted with Hartley as chairman, and Beker and Rigillo as members.
