Manganese X Energy appoints Desmond Tranquilla to board of directors

Manganese X Energy Corp. (TSXV: MN) announced the appointment of Desmond Tranquilla, P.Eng., to its board of directors, effective October 29, 2025.



Tranquilla brings over 32 years of experience in mining project management, construction, and operations. He currently serves as Vice President, Projects for Canada Nickel Company and previously held senior roles at SNC-Lavalin North America, Ausenco Canada, AMEC Americas, and Detour Gold Corporation.



His project experience includes leadership roles in Vale's CAD$1.6 billion Atmospheric Emission Reduction Project and Detour Gold Corporation's CAD$1.5 billion Detour Lake Project. He also worked on Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan's Cory Red Product Expansion and Piccadilly Mine Projects.



Tranquilla holds an engineering degree from the University of New Brunswick and has expertise across project lifecycle stages from scoping through operations in both greenfield and brownfield developments across North America.



The company stated that Tranquilla's background will support advancement of its Battery Hill High-Purity Manganese Project toward completion of its Pre-Feasibility Study.
