MDA Space adds two board members with manufacturing and satellite backgrounds

MDA Space Ltd. (TSX: MDA) (NYSE: MDA) has appointed John Farrell and Stephen Spengler to its board of directors, the company said in a press release.



Farrell has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Magna International Inc. since December 2024, overseeing global operations across more than 320 facilities in over 25 countries. He joined Magna in 1993 and has held roles including president of Magna's Body & Chassis business and president of the Body, Exteriors & Seating segment. He holds a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from Carleton University and is a professional engineer.



Spengler is a retired telecommunications and satellite executive who previously served as chief executive officer of Intelsat SA, where he led a business serving over 1,700 customers with services reaching more than 200 countries. He holds a bachelor of arts from Dickinson College and a master of business administration from Boston University. He has previously served on the boards of Intelsat SA and Kymeta Corporation. Spengler will serve on the MDA Space Audit Committee.



"Their combined expertise in manufacturing operations and satellite technology strengthens our ability to scale and deliver on our long-term strategy," said Brendan Paddick, chair of the MDA Space board.
