Lumexa Imaging (NASDAQ: LMRI) announced that Dr. Jennifer L. Kemp, chair of the company's Center for Quality, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
Dr. Kemp will serve as the RSNA board liaison for government relations. She also holds the position of Chief of Patient Experience at Scanslated, a company that develops AI-driven software for translating radiology reports into patient-friendly language.
Lumexa Imaging uses Scanslated's technology platform across its operations. The company reported that its patients have accessed more than 2 million reports through the Scanslated platform. A recent survey found that 99% of patients who used the platform said access to patient-friendly radiology explanations positively influences their likelihood to choose Lumexa Imaging centers in the future.
"Dr. Kemp's election to the RSNA Board reflects the depth of clinical leadership within our organization and the important role our physicians play in shaping the future of radiology," said Caitlin Zulla, CEO of Lumexa Imaging.
Dr. Kemp stated she intends to help guide radiology to ensure patients receive quality care while strengthening radiologists' voice in shaping the field's future.
Lumexa Imaging operates more than 185 outpatient imaging centers across 13 states with over 5,000 team members. The company conducted approximately 4 million outpatient scans in 2024, according to the press release.
