Lipocine names former Johnson & Johnson executive to its board

Lipocine Inc. (NASDAQ: LPCN) announced the appointment of Michael J. Grissinger to its board of directors, effective Aug. 3, 2026, according to a company press release.
Grissinger spent more than two decades at Johnson & Johnson, where he held senior roles including Vice President and Head of Worldwide Pharmaceutical Licensing and Vice President and Head of Worldwide Pharmaceutical Corporate Development and M&A. Before Johnson & Johnson, he spent 12 years at Ciba-Geigy in finance, marketing, and business development.
He currently serves on the boards of Aprea Therapeutics (NASDAQ: APRE) and Adicet Bio (NASDAQ: ACET), and advises several privately held biotech companies. Grissinger holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Juniata College and an M.B.A. from Temple University's Fox School of Business.
Dana Ono, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board of Lipocine, said Grissinger "brings extensive experience leading pharmaceutical licensing, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions," adding that "his dealmaking experience and judgment will be invaluable" as the company pursues partnerships for its assets.
Lipocine's pipeline includes drug candidates targeting postpartum depression, major depressive disorder, epilepsy, essential tremor, obesity management, liver cirrhosis, and preterm birth prevention. The company's FDA-approved product, TLANDO, is an oral testosterone therapy for hypogonadism in adult males.
