Kinsale Capital Group Inc. (NYSE: KNSL) announced that President and Chief Operating Officer Brian D. Haney has been elected to the company's board of directors, effective October 23, 2025. The company also disclosed that Haney plans to retire on March 2, 2026.
Following his retirement, Haney will begin a consulting role as Senior Advisor with a focus on investor relations. The Richmond, Virginia-based specialty insurance company stated these changes in a press release.
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Michael P. Kehoe will assume the additional title of President upon Haney's retirement. Stuart P. Winston has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer and will continue leading the company's underwriting operations.
Haney has worked with Kinsale since its founding in 2009, holding various senior executive positions. The company noted his continued involvement as both a director and senior advisor will provide continuity in investor communications.
Winston joined Kinsale in 2010 and brings over 20 years of industry underwriting experience. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer before his recent promotion. Winston holds a bachelor's degree in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and has earned Associate in Reinsurance and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations.
