Kennametal adds two directors with industrial, aerospace backgrounds

Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT) has elected Dawne S. Hickton and Richard J. Harshman to its Board of Directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement.



Hickton is Chair, CEO and lead investor of Cumberland Additive, Inc., an additive manufacturing business with locations in Austin, Texas, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, serving the aerospace, defense and space sectors. She previously served as Executive Vice President of Jacobs and President of its Critical Mission Solutions business, and earlier as Vice Chair, President and CEO of RTI International Metals, Inc., which was acquired by Alcoa in 2015. Hickton currently sits on the Board of Directors of Commercial Metals Company and chairs the board at Elevra Lithium. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh.



Harshman spent more than four decades at ATI, Inc. and its predecessor companies, serving as Chairman, President and CEO from May 2011 to December 2018, and as Executive Chair from January to May 2019. He currently serves on the boards of PNC Financial Services Group Inc. and Ameren Corporation, chairing audit committees at both. Harshman holds a BSBA in Accounting from Robert Morris University and holds a Certified Public Accounting certificate from the California State Board of Accountancy.

Kennametal, headquartered in Pittsburgh, reported $2.4 billion in revenues in fiscal 2026 and employs approximately 8,100 people across nearly 100 countries.
