Kardigan names Google finance VP to its board of directors

Kardigan, Inc. (Nasdaq: KARD), a clinical-stage cardiovascular drug company, has appointed Kristin Reinke to its board of directors, effective September 29, 2026. Reinke will serve as chair of the Audit Committee.

Reinke is currently vice president of finance at Google, where she leads the application of artificial intelligence to the company's finance organization. She has been a member of Google's finance leadership team since 2005, holding roles in global financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, and controllership. She previously held leadership positions at Oracle and began her career at Arthur Andersen. She also serves as an independent director and audit committee chair at Everly Health. Reinke holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University and is a certified public accountant.

Concurrent with Reinke's appointment, Doug Giordano, a founding member of Kardigan's board, will step down, also effective September 29, 2026.

Tassos Gianakakos, co-founder, chief executive officer, and chair of the board, said in a statement: "We also would like to thank Doug, a founding member of our Board, for his profound impact over the last few years."

Kardigan describes itself as developing medicines targeting the root causes of cardiovascular diseases for which no approved treatments currently exist.
