KBR (NYSE: KBR) appointed Rami Qasem to its board of directors, effective October 1, 2026, according to a company statement.
Qasem, 59, has held senior roles across the energy, technology, and industrial sectors. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of APEX Industrial Services and Managing Director of Energy Capital Group from 2025 to February 2026. From 2023 to 2025, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of BeyondAI, and in 2023 he also served as Chief Operations Officer of COP28 UAE.
Before those positions, Qasem served as Executive Vice President and CEO of Digital Solutions at Baker Hughes from 2017 to 2023, a role he transitioned into following the merger of GE Oil & Gas and Baker Hughes. Prior to that, he spent 21 years at General Electric, where he rose to President and CEO for the MENA & Turkey region. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
KBR board Chair, President and CEO Stuart Bradie said in the statement: "Rami brings nearly three decades of global leadership experience spanning energy, technology, digital solutions and operational excellence."
The appointment comes as KBR advances toward a planned separation of its Mission Technology Solutions business, which the company expects to complete in January 2027. That business is expected to operate as an independent public company under the name Trinzic, launching with more than $5 billion in annual revenue and approximately 18,000 employees.
