InvenTrust Properties adds Sun Communities CFO to its board

InvenTrust Properties Corp. (NYSE: IVT) has appointed Robert A. Garechana to its board of directors, effective immediately, according to a press release from the company.

Garechana currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sun Communities, Inc., a real estate investment trust that owns and operates manufactured housing and recreational vehicle communities.

Before joining Sun Communities, Garechana held several roles at Equity Residential, including Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer in 2025, Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to 2025, and Treasurer from 2008 to 2018. His earlier experience includes positions in capital markets, financial reporting, and SEC reporting.

Garechana will serve as an independent director and join the Audit Committee of the InvenTrust board.

"His extensive experience in finance, acquisitions, and strategic capital allocation will be a valuable addition to our Board," said DJ Busch, President and Chief Executive Officer of InvenTrust.

Garechana also previously served as Treasurer and Vice Chairman of the board of Upwardly Global, a nonprofit organization. He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.

InvenTrust is a real estate investment trust focused on grocery-anchored retail properties in Sun Belt markets.
