Intermap Technologies (TSX: IMP; OTCQB: ITMSF) announced the appointment of Terry Ryan to its board of directors, according to a company statement.

Ryan brings experience from senior roles at several defense technology companies, including Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), ManTech, Mercury Systems and Tenax Aerospace. He most recently served as CEO of Constellis, where he led development of LEXSO, an AI decision-support platform that integrates multi-domain sensor data on geospatial layers. He continues in a role as Executive Vice Chairman at Constellis.

Ryan also previously served as a professional staff member on U.S. Senate and House Intelligence oversight committees, as Director of Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and as Deputy Director of the Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Office.

"Terry has built and led world-class defense technology companies, focused on deploying integrated sensor capabilities in space, air, land and sea to produce autonomous geospatial intelligence," said Patrick A. Blott, Chairman and CEO of Intermap Technologies.

"Intermap has built a differentiated geospatial intelligence platform that integrates sensors to address critical latency and autonomy challenges for government and commercial customers," Ryan said.

To accommodate Ryan's appointment ahead of the company's next annual shareholder meeting, Philippe Frappier stepped down as a director. Frappier will continue as a board observer and advisor and is expected to be nominated for re-election at the next annual meeting.
