Home BancShares reports passing of longtime director Tracy French

Home BancShares, Inc. (NYSE: HOMB), parent company of Centennial Bank, announced the death of Tracy French, a former director and chairman of the bank, on August 2, 2026.
French served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Centennial Bank from 2015 through 2024 and was named Chairman of Centennial Bank in 2019. He joined the Home BancShares organization through the acquisition of Community Bank in 2003, where he had served as President, CEO, and director since 2002. Before becoming CEO of Centennial Bank, he held the role of Regional President from 2009 to 2015.
French began a planned transition toward retirement in February 2025, concluding his board service in April 2025. He continued as an advisor to senior management of Home BancShares and Centennial Bank until his death.
John Allison, Chairman of Home BancShares, commented on French's passing: "Tracy was much more than a colleague and director; he was a trusted friend, an exceptional banker, and a leader whose impact on this Company will be felt for generations."
Home BancShares is headquartered in Conway, Arkansas. Centennial Bank operates branch locations in Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, South Alabama, and New York City.
