Greenlight Capital Re, Ltd. (Nasdaq: GLRE) announced that Joseph Platt will retire from its board of directors effective December 31, 2026.
Platt joined the board in 2004 at the time of the company's formation, giving him more than 22 years of service. No successor was named in the announcement.
David Einhorn, Chair of the Board, attributed Platt's tenure to contributions in governance and independent counsel. "Joe first joined our Board at the Company's founding, and his independent judgment, steady counsel and commitment to strong governance have been invaluable to our Board and our shareholders," Einhorn said.
Platt said in a statement that serving on the board since the company's formation "has been a privilege" and that he is "confident in the Board and management team as they continue to execute on the Company's strategy."
