September 14, 2026 8:30 AM EDT

Greenland Mines Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRML) announced the formation of a Strategic Advisory Board with three initial members: Constantine E. Karayannopoulos, Thomas Abraham-James, and Bent Olsvig Jensen.

Karayannopoulos is a professional engineer with more than 30 years of experience in rare earth elements and critical minerals. He most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Neo Performance Materials Inc. until July 2023, during which time Neo entered into a 2022 agreement to pursue the Sarfartoq project as a potential feedstock source. Neo Performance Materials retains offtake rights for up to 60% of future Sarfartoq ore or mineral concentrate production.

Abraham-James is a geologist with approximately 20 years of mineral exploration experience. He served as Exploration Manager of Platina Resources Limited from 2008 to 2012, during which he worked directly on the Skaergaard project. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Pulsar Helium Inc.

Jensen is a Greenland-based mining executive with approximately 30 years of operating experience in Greenland. From 2020 through August 2026, he served as Managing Director in Greenland for Lumina Sustainable Materials, overseeing the White Mountain anorthosite mine located approximately 40 kilometers from Greenland Mines' Sarfartoq project.

The company stated it intends to appoint two to three additional advisory board members. According to the company, the board will support project strategy, permitting, partnerships, and the company's North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor initiative.

The appointments follow Greenland Mines' completion of the Sarfartoq acquisition on September 1, 2026, after receiving approval from Naalakkersuisut, the Government of Greenland. The Sarfartoq project's Initial Assessment reported a high-case pre-tax NPV of approximately $2.05 billion at an 8% real discount rate and a pre-tax IRR of 118.6%, figures that are preliminary and include Inferred Mineral Resources. No mineral reserves have been declared for either project, and no production decision has been made.
