Granite names infrastructure veteran George Nash to its board

Granite (NYSE: GVA) has appointed George L. Nash, Jr. to its Board of Directors, effective August 5, 2026, according to a company press release.
Nash most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of the North America region of Atkins, now AtkinsRéalis, where he oversaw operations spanning infrastructure, transportation, environmental, water, defense, and energy markets. During his tenure, the business more than doubled its revenue and profitability. He also guided the North American organization through Atkins' integration with SNC-Lavalin following its 2017 acquisition.
Prior to Atkins, Nash held senior roles at AECOM and URS Corporation. Following AECOM's acquisition of URS, he served as President of AECOM's Energy, Industrial and Infrastructure Construction division. Earlier, he was Chief Operating Officer and later President of URS Corporation's global Energy and Construction division.
Nash is a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts and holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Brown University.
Granite Board Chair Mike McNally said in the statement: "His unique perspective at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure investment, and project execution will further strengthen the board as we continue to position Granite for sustainable growth in an evolving infrastructure market and create long-term shareholder value."
